Thorn Lighting Choose Rainford EMC Systems
As part of a £28 million investment Thorn Lighting have moved to a new facility in Spennymoor, UK.
The new 40.000sq.m facility will open officially in February 2009 and production will be transferred from their existing site. Within this new state of the art facility Thorn have included a £1.3 million investment in a new training centre and have provided an up to date test facility for their products.
Rainford EMC Systems were chosen as the sole supplier for Thorn Lighting's new anechoic EMC test facility. The chamber consists of the very latest design of the Rainford EMC CC (compact chamber) which has been especially adapted to a FAC (fully anechoic chamber) to satisfy Thorns EMC test requirements and fulfill testing to CISPR15 and EN55015. An additional modification was also implemented to introduce a portable ground plane for conducted tests.
